About College

Syed Appalaswamy Degree College(SAS) was founded by Venkateswara Educational Trust (regd.) in 1975 after the name of the renowned labour leader "Karmikaveera" "Deenabandhu" Syed Appalaswamy.

        The family of Sri Syed Appalaswamy has donated the valuable site. Sri Tammina Gurumurthy donated fifty thousand rupees for corpus fund. Sri Rampilla Suryanarayana, Sri Chadalavada Venkatarao, Sri Bayana Apaarao, Sri Tammina Narasimharao, Smt Potnuri Anjayamma, Sri Tammina Apparao as Founder Memebers and The Muttah Labour Organisation and other philanthropists came forward with liberal donations in building up this institution.

        We had a humble beginning with five students and made gradual progress during the last thirty years, receiving recognition of the elite from the town. Now there are 650 students including 150 girls, studying B.A., B.Com and B.Sc Classes.

        A band of young and energetic lecturers rendering sincere service to register all round development in the college to produce qualitative students with good academic results.
